Increase in waste charges from Monday 2 April

​The Department for Infrastructure would like to remind customers that from Monday 2 April 2018 the charges to receive commercial deliveries of green waste, plasterboard and non-recyclable inert waste will increase as follows:

  • commercial green waste: from £20.35 to £63 per tonne
  • plasterboard: from £52.50 to £63 per tonne
  • non-recyclable inert waste: from £16.16 to £19.95 per tonne

Domestic green waste will continue to be received free of charge.

The increase in charges will enable the Department to recover the full costs of providing the service.

Customers were first advised of the price increases in December 2017 and temporary signage is at La Collette to remind customers of the changes.
