Buy a parking disc and cost
Parking discs cost £2 and you can buy them from St Helier's Town Hall or the Parking Control Office in Sand Street.
How to use a parking disc
Parking discs display your arrival time. There are 3 red cardboard discs on a parking disc, which must be turned to show:
- 10th, 20th, 30th minute, etc.
- first, second, third minute, etc.
For example, if you parked your car at 10.46, you would rotate the discs to show:
- on the first disc (hour)
- on the second disc (40th minute)
- on the third disc (sixth minute)
If you do not have a parking disc you can use paycards instead.
Displabled blue parking discs
You can use yellow or blue parking discs.
Disabled parking (blue badge)
When are parking fines issued
You'll get a parking fine if:
- any of the details are not visible or are incorrect
- you park for longer than your parking disc is valid for,
- you stay longer than the maximum time restriction in a parking area
- you return to the same road within 1 hour of leaving that road
