Contribution credits for people who have been made redundant

If you've lost your job through redundancy we may be able to cover your contributions for a limited time.

How do I get credits if I have been made redundant?

If you have lost your job because of compulsory redundancy we may be able to give you unemployment credits to cover your contributions for a limited time. To find out whether you will get unemployment credits you need to come into the Social Security Department and see one of our advisors in the Work Zone.

What you need to bring

A letter from your previous employer saying that you have been made redundant and the date that you last worked.

Unemployment benefit

There is no unemployment benefit in Jersey. However, if you have lived here for 5 years you may be entitled to Income Support.
