How to submit your overtime
You can submit your overtime on MyView using the timesheet module if you’re:
- a civil servant
- a support staff in Education
It’s available in MyView until 5pm on the 19th of each month. You must submit and get your timesheet approved by this time.
You can only claim overtime worked in the previous month. For example, you must submit and get December hours approved by 19 January. Do not claim hours worked in the same month you submit.
The amount you’ll be paid won’t show on MyView. This is calculated based on:
- top of your current grade
- overtime rate (x1, x1.5, or x2)
- number of hours claimed
The timesheet module closes at 5pm on the 19th and stays unavailable until monthly payroll is processed.
If the module is unavailable on your MyView during the period it should be open, email the HR Systems Team at peoplelink@gov.je. If you’re a school delegate, include the name of your headteacher.

Approval process
Once you submitted your timesheet, it’ll go to your manager for 5 days for approval.
You’ll receive a notification via email when your timesheet is approved or rejected. You can also view the status and rejection notes by selecting the timesheet in MyView.
If it’s rejected contact your manager. They may have missed the request or it timed out.
If your manager doesn’t approve your timesheet within 5 days:
- it moves to the next manager for another 5 days
- if it is still not actioned, it times out and you will need to resubmit it
If you’re not receiving notifications, email peoplelink@gov.je. Include the email address where notifications should be sent.
Not being paid
If you completed a timesheet but didn’t get paid, check if it was submitted:
- log in to MyView
- open the timesheet module
- if your form shows as:
- Open, it has been saved but not submitted. Open the form and select ‘Submit’
- Submitted or Rejected, it has not been approved by your manager. Contact them
If your manager approved your timesheet but you didn’t get paid, email peoplelink@gov.je.
Making a mistake
If you made a mistake on your timesheet and it’s not approved yet, you can:
- withdraw your request via the form history
- resubmit your timesheet with the correct information
If the claim has already been paid, email peoplelink@gov.je.
