Women who joined the Jersey Social Security scheme before 1 January 1975
Women who fall into this category will continue to be able to claim a pension when they reach the age of 60.
For women who joined the scheme after 1 January 1975, the age when you can claim your Jersey Social Security pension has increased.
The changes only affect you if you were born on or after 1 January 1955.

How the changes will affect you
Under the changes:
women who joined the Jersey Social Security scheme before 1 January 1975 will continue to be able to claim a pension when they reach the age of 60
the current pension age of 65 will increase by two months in every 10 months from 2020, until it reaches 67 in 2031
the number of years’ contributions needed for a full pension will rise from 45 to 47 over the same period
the age that a reduced pension can be paid will move up in line with the changes to the pension age
