At Jersey General Hospital, we offer a range of self-pay cosmetic breast packages. This enables you to have your treatment close to home, without travelling to the UK or further afield.

Breast surgery helps to restore proportion to your body and achieve the shape and look you desire.

You will have your own reasons for choosing to have breast surgery and the decision needs careful consideration. Your consultant surgeon, Mr Stephenson, will be able to talk through any questions you may have before you commit to a procedure.

Our Private Patient Finance Office can talk you through the payment process, so that you have peace of mind about the costs involved.

Packages available:

• nipple procedures
• breast enlargement (augmentation)
• breast reduction (mammoplasty)
• male chest reduction (gynaecomastia)
• breast lift (mastopexy)

Package inclusions

What’s included (for each patient):

• consultant breast surgeon procedure fee
• consultant breast surgeon post-operative appointments
• consultant anaesthetist fee
• microbiology fees
• hospital pre-operative assessment and post-operative appointments
• hospital theatre and one night’s accommodation (on the private unit)
• nursing care, meals and refreshments
• drugs, dressings and consumables
• implants (where required) and compression belt
• ‘Sarah’ front fastening recovery bra by Amoena (where required)
  
• 24 hour admission to ITU or HDU (if required)
• post-operative complications, re-admission or revision surgery related to the procedure for a period of 12 months from the initial episode of care

What’s not included:

• initial consultation with consultant breast surgeon
• pathology fees (if required)*
• radiology fees (if required)
• additional nights on private unit, if required for clinical reasons
• carer or relative accommodation and meals for visitors
• patient travel costs
• ambulance fees
• outpatient physiotherapy (if required)
• treatment of complications unrelated to procedure
• additional nights on ITU/HDU for clinical reasons

Matthew Stephenson  MBBS Msc FRCS (Gen Surg)
Consultant General and Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon

Matthew Stephenson is a consultant general and oncoplastic breast surgeon working in Jersey since 2013. He studied medicine at St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School in London and qualified in 2003. He has undertaken surgical training throughout London and the South East of England.

Mr Stephenson’s subspecialty is breast surgery and he offers a full range of cosmetic breast procedures. These include nipple procedures, breast enlargements, reductions, lifts and reconstruction. Mr Stephenson also specialises in complex oncoplastic reconstructive breast surgery.

Mr Stephenson is among 22 UK cosmetic surgeons who has certification from the Royal College of Surgeons to undertake cosmetic surgery. Mr Stephenson carries out around 100 cosmetic procedures each year. His GMC No. is 6076367.

Paying for your cosmetic breast package

Jersey General Hospital will ask you to make full payment in advance, equivalent to the package price quoted, seven days prior to your admission date. Should any extra costs be incurred, this will be invoiced separately, upon discharge.
