Developing a food safety management system
If you operate a food business, you have a legal obligation to have a documented food safety management system in place.
'CookSafe' has been designed by the Food Standards Agency to help catering businesses understand and implement a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) based system.
Resources and templates
You can find a manual and instructions in the CookSafe section of the Food Standards Agency (FSA) website, which will help you to develop HACCP-based procedures that fit your needs.
You can also download a variety of hazard analysis templates and template monitoring forms which can be adapted to suit your own operation. Although you can also design your own food safety management system, it must be based on the principles of HACCP.
