Using a foreign driving licence in Jersey
If you usually live outside Jersey and you’re staying in Jersey for less than 12 months, you can drive on your own non-Jersey driving licence.
Anyone who has a foreign driving licence and becomes resident in Jersey or intends to stay for more than 12 months, is required to exchange that foreign driving licence for a Jersey licence.
Below is a list of countries fro which Jersey will accept driving licences for exchange. To exchange your foreign licence, you need to visit your local parish hall.
British Virgin Islands
|Iceland||Republic of Ireland|
Isle of Man
|Spain||South Africa||South Korea|
If you hold a driving licence from a country that isn't listed above, you need to pass a theory and practical driving test in Jersey to be granted a full Jersey driving licence.
