Hospital ward visiting times and contact details

Visitor information

Visiting has now resumed across Health and Community Services with the following precautions:

  • patients may name a maximum of 2 relatives or friends per visit including children 
  • only 1 named visitor is allowed where there are concerns in relation to infection and potential risk of cross infection
  • 1 to 2 visitors are allowed in the Emergency Department unless there are exceptional circumstances such as if the department is busy or to maintain the dignity of other patients

You should not visit the hospital if you're showing any COVID-19 symptoms.

Do not visit if you have any symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting or flu like symptoms.

During your visit you must:

  • use hand sanitiser, which is provided by the entrance of every department and ward
  • use appropriate PPE throughout the visit as directed by ward staff  if the patient has an infection
  • avoid sitting on patients beds due to risk of infection
