If you're in Jersey
If your passport is lost or stolen in Jersey, you need to cancel it as soon as possible.
To cancel your passport, complete the lost and stolen passport form and send it to:

You can apply for a new passport straightaway.
Cancel a lost or stolen passport form
If your passport is damaged, you can apply for a new passport. You don’t need to cancel it.
Travel urgently without your passport
If you’re in Jersey and need to urgently travel abroad, you may be able to apply for a temporary passport.

If you're abroad
If your passport is lost or stolen abroad, you must cancel it as soon as possible. This will reduce the risk of anyone else using your passport or identity.
You should report it to the local police first. They’ll give you a crime reference number which you can reference on the cancellation form.
You must also complete the online form to cancel a lost or stolen passport on GOV.UK.
You can report a lost or stolen passport for someone else if they can't do it themselves.
Damaged passports
If your passport is damaged, check with your airline or ferry company if they’ll accept it.
If your passport is badly damaged, you may need to apply for an emergency passport to travel urgently from abroad.
Travel urgently without your passport
You may be able to apply for an emergency travel document to travel urgently from abroad if you can’t use your UK passport.

If you come back in Jersey using an emergency passport, you’ll need to return it with your new passport application.
