Please can I have the details of what the Pupil Premium money has been spent on.

Response

Jersey Premium was piloted in 2016 and introduced in all States of Jersey schools in January 2017.

Pilot Phase

The Education Minister has previously answered two questions regarding Jersey Premium expenditure during the initial pilot phase. The Education Department has refused this request under Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 as these answers are already in the public domain, at the following locations:

Main Implementation Phase – January 2017 onwards

All States of Jersey schools will be required to publish an evaluation of their Jersey Premium interventions and spending during the 2017 calendar year by 31 January 2018. Publication of an annual evaluation and strategy for Jersey Premium in each school is a requirement of the Jersey Premium Policy, which is now available online.

Article 23 - Information accessible to applicant by other means

(1)     Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge.

(2)     A scheduled public authority that refuses an application for information on this ground must make reasonable efforts to inform the applicant where the applicant may obtain the information.
