WS Atkins were engaged as advisors to undertake a Pre-Feasibility Spatial Assessment to;

‘… identify the most appropriate location for the identified business needs of the General and Acute Hospital and the overall strategy for delivery. This included the development of a statement of business need to set out and verify the future spatial requirements of the service, and identify the capacities and constraints, which can be used to consider site alternatives. The study will then need to develop and appraise alternative site options, including reviewing the suitability of the current site, to identify which preferred site option will best deliver the business need…’ [extract from Invitation to Tender for Consultancy Advice for the Jersey Hospital Pre-Feasibility Spatial Assessment Project: April 2012].
