Request

A

Apart from the Minister for Social Security, Deputy Judy Martin, declaring on her Statement of Interests that she lives in an Andium Home, who else in the States Assembly lives in Social Housing?

B

What is the criteria if any, that determines a person no longer qualifies for Social Housing and therefore move to the private sector, if during their tenure their earnings rise to such a level that it would be deemed unfair on those who are still waiting to be housed?

C

With regard to the Housing Gateway lists, how often are people contacted to see whether their particular banding of priority should be changed?

Response

A and B

The Social Security department does not hold this information and the requestor has already been asked to redirect these questions to Andium Homes Limited.

C

The Affordable Housing Gateway waiting list comprises six Bands based on the customer’s needs and circumstances. If a customer in one of the Bands either refuses or does not express interest for properties that are suitable for their housing needs, they will be moved to a lower priority band or lose their place on the waiting list.

Once a customer has been on the Affordable Housing Gateway waiting list for one year they are sent an update form annually whilst their application remains active. This enables the Affordable Housing Gateway team to ensure customers are in the correct Band or removed from the Affordable Housing Gateway waiting list should their circumstances change.
