There is a law regarding the maximum decibels motor vehicles using the public road must not exceed. It is the Motor Vehicles (Construction & Use) (Jersey) Order 1998 (Articles 59 through to 66). It is available through the following link:

There have been 151 prosecutions in the last five years, however these are for defective or modified exhaust systems and not necessarily for excessive noise above the limit described in Articles 60 and 65 of the Motor Vehicles (Construction & Use) (Jersey) Order 1998.
